Network Project Manager – Infrastructure Transformation

About the role

We are seeking a Network Project Manager to lead the delivery of network cutovers and transformation projects for higher‑education customers across the South West. The role combines project‑management expertise with a solid understanding of network design, logistics and service transition, working in a hybrid environment with regular travel to depots and customer sites.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver assigned network transformation and cutover workstreams safely, on time, within scope, quality and budget.
• Develop and manage cutover delivery plans, readiness gates, runbooks, RAID logs and stakeholder actions.
• Coordinate digital service and network port requirements, including design updates and security rule changes.
• Collaborate with engineering, field teams, suppliers and operations to ensure designs are deliverable and sites are ready for hand‑over.
• Maintain project governance, reporting cadence, risk escalation and change control.
• Control logistics, staging, kitting, asset tracking and field consumables to minimise rework.
• Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement of delivery processes.

Required profile

• Organised project manager with proven experience delivering IT, telecoms or network infrastructure migration projects.
• Confident in managing project controls, coordinating technical teams and engaging customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to challenge readiness, manage risks and ensure the right technical input at the right time.
• Full UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle for regular travel.
