Network & Server Infrastructure Engineer – Cisco, Fortigate, VMware

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Network & Server Infrastructure Engineer to join a multi‑site enterprise environment in London. The role involves supporting and enhancing a modern infrastructure estate, covering networking, security, virtualization and cloud‑aligned technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support and upgrade Cisco switches, access points, wireless LAN controllers and related infrastructure.
• Manage Fortigate firewalls, including rule creation, VPNs, DMZs and security policies.
• Maintain core services such as Windows Server, VMware, Citrix and associated security/networking tools.
• Drive patching, vulnerability remediation (Tenable/Nessus) and cyber‑compliance (Cyber Essentials+).
• Handle incident, problem and change management across infrastructure and networking.
• Assist with multi‑site hardware deployments and project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams and third‑party providers to ensure reliable service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting Cisco switching and wireless solutions.
• Strong background with Fortigate firewalls and VPN/DMZ configurations.
• Solid knowledge of IP networking, routing and security concepts.
• Experience in multi‑site environments serving 500+ users.
• Ability to work with technical business stakeholders.
