Network Support Engineer (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Network Support Engineer to join our hybrid team in London. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining secure, high‑performance network infrastructure across both on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise network solutions for data centres and cloud platforms.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot incidents and resolve issues promptly.
• Manage core network components such as routers, firewalls, load balancers and switches.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and document network configurations.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT or a related discipline.
• CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
• Experience with WAN, LAN, NAT and VPN technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Cisco and Meraki switches and Fortinet firewalls.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG or Wireshark.
• Exposure to cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets) and basic scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Ansible) is advantageous.
