Network Technician – Data Communications Role

About the role

We are seeking a Network Technician to join a growing engineering team that delivers data communications and IT infrastructure solutions for a variety of customers. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining and supporting network and communications systems in both customer and internal environments.

Key responsibilities

• Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of customer network and communications solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults, escalating when necessary.
• Assist with the build, testing and deployment of infrastructure projects.
• Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Support the evaluation and testing of new products and technologies.
• Participate in customer site visits and installations as required.

Required profile

• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching and firewall technologies.
• Experience troubleshooting IT and communications systems.
• Knowledge of networking or telecommunications environments is advantageous.
• Experience supporting technical projects and deployments.
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
