Newly Qualified Accountant – Multi‑Entity Finance Team

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated, newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join our fast‑moving finance team. This position offers broad exposure across several entities in a growing media/film group, allowing you to develop expertise in multi‑entity accounting and retail shop finance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end close for multiple group companies, ensuring accurate and timely postings.
• Prepare and run payroll and supplier payments for several entities, maintaining compliance with internal controls and regulations.
• Manage staff expense reviews and reimbursements across the group.
• Produce weekly cash‑flow forecasts to support business decisions.
• Assist with year‑end audits, responding to auditor queries and preparing documentation.
• Support the finance team with ad‑hoc reporting, analysis, and project work.
• Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function.

Required profile

• Recently qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
• Experience with retail shop accounting.
• Background in a multi‑entity or group structure.
• Exposure to media‑related accounting is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with finance and non‑finance stakeholders.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Xero accounting software.
