Newly Qualified Solicitor – Private Client

About the role

A leading Westminster boutique law firm is seeking a newly qualified solicitor to join its Private Client team. You will work alongside experienced partners and senior associates, supporting high‑net‑worth individuals, families, trustees and entrepreneurs with complex wealth matters.

Key responsibilities

• Drafting wills, lasting powers of attorney and other estate‑planning documents.
• Advising clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and estate‑planning strategies.
• Assisting with lifetime gifting, deeds of gift and related documentation.
• Creating, administering and varying trusts, and preparing related deeds.
• Advising trustees on duties, obligations and reporting requirements.
• Supporting probate applications and complex estate administration.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales (NQ) or due to qualify imminently.
• Completed a training contract with exposure to Private Client work.
• Strong academic background and genuine interest in wills, trusts, tax and estates.
• Excellent drafting and analytical abilities.
• Proactive, professional and collaborative approach.
• STEP qualification or willingness to work towards it is advantageous.
