Night Assistant – Security & Facilities Support

About the role

The Night Assistant provides essential security and facilities support during overnight hours at Riverside Group’s Bedford property. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will help ensure the safety of residents and the smooth operation of the building throughout the night.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor security, fire and telephone systems.
• Perform regular safety checks of communal areas and rooms.
• Clean and maintain communal spaces as required.
• Identify and report repairs or maintenance issues promptly.
• Support vulnerable clients and respond to incidents during night shifts.

Required profile

• Experience working with vulnerable client groups.
• Ability to work alone during night hours.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Willingness to learn Riverside‑specific IT systems and complete related training.
