Night Care Assistant – Carlisle

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Night Care Assistant to join a residential care home in Blackwell, Carlisle. Working overnight, you will ensure residents feel safe, comfortable and respected while providing high-quality, person-centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and support to residents with dignity and privacy throughout the night.
• Build positive relationships and create a welcoming home environment.
• Assist residents with individual care needs, including mobility and medication reminders.
• Maintain accurate care records and follow established procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to uphold excellent standards of care.

Required profile

• Compassionate and caring attitude towards vulnerable adults.
• Reliability for night-shift work and ability to stay alert.
• Good communication skills and respect for residents’ independence.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• No specific technical skills are required; on-the-job training will be provided.
