Night Care Assistant – Full Time

About the role

Prime Life is seeking a dedicated Night Care Assistant to join the team at Westerlands Care Village in Brough. The role involves providing compassionate support to 83 residents during night shifts, ensuring their safety, comfort and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and help them retire to bed for the evening.
• Carry out routine welfare checks throughout the night to ensure residents are safe and well.
• Support residents with nutrition and hydration as required.
• Encourage safe mobilisation using mobility aids and specialist equipment.
• Provide friendship and companionship to residents.
• Maintain accurate written records and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with the multi‑disciplinary team to promote health and well‑being.
• Welcome family members and assist with enquiries.

Required profile

• A genuine caring nature and desire to make a difference for residents.
• Patience, understanding and respect for individual abilities, including those with dementia.
• Willingness to work night shifts on a 7‑day rotating schedule.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records.
