Night Care Assistant

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Night Care Assistants to join our team at Phoenix Park Care Village in Scunthorpe. The role involves providing safe, dignified overnight support to 146 residents, many of whom live with dementia, physical disabilities or age‑related health conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and help them settle into bed.
• Carry out routine welfare checks throughout the night to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Support residents with nutrition and hydration as needed.
• Encourage safe mobilisation using mobility aids and specialist equipment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Maintain accurate written records and complete required documentation.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and respond to enquiries from family members.

Required profile

• Patient, understanding and respectful of individual abilities.
• Ability to work night shifts (8 pm‑8 am) on a permanent full‑time or part‑time basis.
• Willingness to undergo a fully funded DBS check.
