Night Care Assistant

About the role

Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is seeking a compassionate Night Care Assistant to support residents at Orford House, a residential care home in Coulsdon. You will work the night shift, providing personal care, companionship and assistance with daily living activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care and hygiene support to residents during night hours.
• Provide companionship and emotional support throughout the shift.
• Prepare and serve meals or snacks as required.
• Assist residents with mobility and safe transfers.
• Maintain accurate care records and update resident files.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in a care home environment.
• Empathetic, respectful, self‑motivated and flexible.
• Team player willing to go the extra mile for residents.
• Passion for caring for older people and building strong relationships.
• Hold the Care Certificate or at least a Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care.
