Night Care Assistant (Otterbourne Hill)

About the role
Join Brendoncare Otterbourne Hill as a Night Care Assistant, providing compassionate, person‑centred support to our residents during overnight shifts. You will work in a supportive, not‑for‑profit environment where teamwork and respect for each individual's needs are paramount.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personal care and assistance to residents, respecting their choices and dignity.
- Support residents who are unwell or approaching end of life, acting as a key worker for assigned individuals.
- Document care activities, note changes, and report to the shift leader.
- Communicate with families, keeping them informed while maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborate with the Activities Team to plan engaging group and one‑to‑one activities.
- Liaise with external agencies such as GPs, social services, and therapists as needed.
Required profile
- Enthusiastic about delivering high‑quality care in a home‑like setting.
- Good communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
- Reliability, commitment, and a natural affinity for working with older adults.
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care is desirable but not essential.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of health and social care practices.
What we offer
- £13.38‑£13.72 per hour (higher rate with NVQ2) plus a 10% night/weekend premium.
