Night Porter

About the role

Join the team at The Old Swan & Minster Mill as a Night Porter, providing a safe and welcoming environment for guests throughout the overnight hours. You will be the first point of contact for any guest needs and ensure the property remains secure and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the safety and security of the hotel and its guests during the night shift.
• Complete nightly audits and ensure compliance with hotel standards.
• Respond to guest enquiries and provide assistance as required.
• Prepare a thorough handover for day‑time staff, documenting any incidents or issues.
• Perform light tidying and ensure public areas remain presentable.
• Assist the restaurant team by setting up for breakfast service.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar night‑porter or front‑desk role is preferred.
• Ability to work independently during night hours.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
