Night Registered General Nurse (RGN)

About the role

As a Registered General Nurse working night shifts in a Barchester care home, you will look after the physical, psychological and social needs of residents. You will create a safe, supportive environment and use your professional judgement to make critical clinical decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tailored care plans for each resident.
• Administer medication safely and accurately.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
• Provide compassionate, person‑centred care to individuals with a range of physical and mental health needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality care.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Strong knowledge of up‑to‑date clinical practices.
• Experience producing comprehensive care plans and risk assessments.
• Understanding of DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Dedicated, compassionate and able to work independently during night shifts.
