About the role

Join Etive House Care Home in the scenic village of Benderloch near Oban as a Night Senior Care Assistant. You will lead a small team to deliver safe, high‑quality, person‑centred care throughout the night shift, making a real difference to residents' wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the smooth running of the night shift, ensuring care is well organised and consistent.
• Provide hands‑on personal care and support to residents.
• Administer medication and monitor residents’ health, responding promptly to any changes.
• Maintain accurate care records and ensure clear communication with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Support and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and compassionate environment.

Required profile

• SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum); Level 3 desirable or willingness to work towards it.
• Medication administration training with competency is essential.
• Experience supporting or leading a care team is beneficial.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Caring, compassionate and professional approach.

What we offer

• Pay up to £15.10 per hour.
• Contracted up to 44 hours per week.
• £500 welcome bonus (paid after 6‑month probation).
• Paid PVG, pension scheme, uniform provided.
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time basis).
