Night Senior Carer – Residential Care

About the role

As a Night Senior Carer in a Barchester care home, you will ensure the safety, comfort and wellbeing of residents throughout the night shift. You will lead a team of Care Assistants, collaborate with the Deputy General Manager and support the clinical team in delivering person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate a team of Care Assistants during night hours.
• Assist the Deputy General Manager with operational oversight.
• Support clinical activities such as medication administration, assessments, care plans and care reviews.
• Maintain a warm, welcoming environment that respects each resident’s dignity and preferences.
• Respond promptly to any emergencies or resident needs.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical care for elderly residents.
• Compassionate, warm‑hearted and committed to delivering individualized support.
• Willingness to develop a long‑term career through training and progression.

Required skills
