Night Shift Maintenance Engineer (3 on/3 off)

About the role

Join a leading manufacturing organisation in Milton Keynes as a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer on a 3‑on/3‑off roster. You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running smoothly, minimising downtime and supporting continuous improvement in a fast‑paced food‑production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant.
• Diagnose, repair and replace faulty components to keep production lines operational.
• Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards and food‑industry regulations.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimise processes.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement projects and efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous maintenance engineering experience in a fast‑moving manufacturing or food‑production setting.
• Strong electrical fault‑finding and repair capability.
• Recognised electrical engineering qualifications (NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
• Proactive problem‑solver able to work under pressure.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
