Night Shift Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to work the night shift at our Hatfield manufacturing site. You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running smoothly through both reactive and planned maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production machinery.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) according to schedule.
• Support continuous improvement projects, machinery upgrades and new equipment installations.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to optimise equipment performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong fault‑finding abilities and experience with both reactive and preventive maintenance.
• Hands‑on knowledge of belts, bearings, pulleys, shafts, gearboxes, chains, pumps and hydraulics.
