Night Shift Quality Inspector – Aerospace

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team on the night shift. The role focuses on ensuring that components meet the highest standards of quality, compliance and precision for our leading aerospace customers.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality and inspection support across all production stages, including First Article Inspection (FAI).
• Maintain quality control in line with business standards, customer requirements and ISO 9001/ISO 5001.
• Identify recurring quality issues, conduct root‑cause analysis (5 Why, SPC, 8D) and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage non‑conformance reports, calibration activities and internal audits.
• Support new product introductions using FMEA, APQP and PPAP methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on continuous‑improvement projects and lean initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aerospace manufacturing, preferably with NADCAP knowledge.
• Strong engineering background with the ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in internal auditing and familiarity with ISO standards.
• Ability to work independently on the night shift with minimal supervision.

Required skills

• Use of precision measuring equipment: vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, digital test indicators (DTI).
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation (desirable).
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 5001, NADCAP.
• Root‑cause analysis tools: 5 Why, Statistical Process Control (SPC), 8D, Kaizen.
• FMEA, APQP, PPAP for new product introduction.
