Night-Shift Team Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Night‑Shift Team Manager to lead a large operational team at our Argos Logistics Fulfilment Centre in Speke. You will be responsible for ensuring smooth overnight delivery and fulfilment operations while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a sizable night‑shift workforce in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
• Drive engagement, performance and accountability through regular feedback and development conversations.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and collaborative workplace where colleagues can thrive.
• Manage operational performance against key KPIs, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met.
• Plan resources effectively using forecasts, workload trends and operational priorities.
• Work closely with site leadership to identify continuous‑improvement opportunities.
• Uphold high standards of stock accuracy, security, health & safety and regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large teams in a warehouse, logistics, transport, distribution or fulfilment setting.
• Strong track record of driving performance, developing people and managing operational KPIs.
• Experience in a unionised environment is advantageous.
• People‑first leadership style with excellent communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Customer‑focused mindset with the ability to work at pace and lead through change.
