Night Shift Warehouse Operative – 4 on/4 off

About the role

This full‑time night shift position supports a busy air freight operation near Heathrow. You will work a 4‑on/4‑off pattern (19:00‑07:00) handling a variety of cargo in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manual handling of chilled, frozen and ambient freight.
• Loading and unloading vehicles ranging from vans to articulated lorries.
• Operating counter‑balance forklift trucks (1.5t–8t) safely.
• Picking, packing, sorting and splitting shipments accurately.
• Building, sorting and managing aircraft pallet stocks.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and completing paperwork.
• Using warehouse systems to log stock movements.
• Collaborating with the operations team to ensure smooth day‑to‑day running.
• Upholding high standards of housekeeping, health and safety.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Previous experience in the air freight/air cargo sector is essential.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT Licence (B1); B2 licence advantageous but not required.
• Willingness to work the 4‑on/4‑off night shift pattern (19:00‑07:00).

Required skills

• Counterbalance forklift operation (B1 licence).
• Proficiency with warehouse management systems for stock logging.
