Night Shunter / Cleaner / Fueller (Part‑time)

About the role

Join the Operations team at Newbury & District as a Night Shunter, Cleaner and Fueller. Working from the Greenham and Mill Lane depots, you will ensure the bus fleet is ready for service each morning, handling fuelling, cleaning and basic vehicle checks during night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Fuelling buses and topping up oil, AdBlue and windscreen washer fluid at the fuel islands.
• Checking exterior lights, replacing bulbs, and performing both exterior and interior cleaning.
• Placing marketing materials, updating window bills and removing graffiti.
• Safely parking vehicles in designated spaces for efficient morning run‑outs.
• Maintaining depot cleanliness, including yard and fuel island areas, and carrying out deep or mini cleans as required.

Required profile

• Valid PCV licence or demonstrable experience driving large vehicles.
• Proactive, motivated attitude towards operational tasks.
• Ability to work a rotating roster of 30 hours per week, typically 18:00‑00:00 on weekdays and occasional Saturday shifts.
