Night Support Worker – Care Home

About the role

Join Serenita Care Home as a Night Support Worker, providing person‑centred care to residents with complex mental health needs in a Victorian seaside setting. You will work night shifts, supporting up to 34 individuals while promoting independence, safety and dignity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care, mobility assistance and mealtime support during night hours.
• Follow individual care plans and maintain structured daily routines.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, respond sensitively to changing needs and ensure a calm environment.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to uphold a safe, organised setting.
• Document observations and communicate any concerns to senior staff.

Required profile

• A kind, patient and compassionate attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist care environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and professional work ethic.
• Previous care experience or a relevant qualification is beneficial but not essential.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of personal care and mobility support.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety procedures.

• £12.71 per hour, contracted to 44 hours per week.
