Nightshift Machine Setter – CNC Operator

About the role

We are expanding our night‑shift capability at a leading international design and manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Edinburgh. The role runs Monday‑Thursday, 19:00‑07:00, delivering 46 hours per week of high‑volume CNC production.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up and operate a variety of CNC machines to produce high‑quality parts from diverse materials.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and translate them into repeatable CNC programmes.
• Maintain precision tolerances and ensure consistent output in a high‑volume environment.
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting tooling or process enhancements.
• Assist and develop less experienced team members where required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in CNC operating or machine setting.
• Background in manufacturing high‑precision components.
• Familiarity with high‑volume production settings is advantageous.
• Ability to read and act on detailed technical drawings.
• Willingness to work night‑shift hours.
