About the role

We are seeking an experienced Noise‑Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) Fee Earner to join our Industrial Disease team. You will manage a full caseload of NIHL claims, guiding each from initial instruction through settlement or litigation while delivering high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own NIHL claim portfolio from inception to conclusion.
• Assess liability and quantum using medical reports, audiograms and employment records.
• Instruct and liaise with medical experts, counsel and third parties.
• Draft legal correspondence, witness statements and settlement documentation.
• Negotiate settlements with defendants and insurers.
• Ensure compliance with the Civil Procedure Rules and relevant pre‑action protocols.
• Maintain accurate case records and meet all deadlines.

Required profile

• Previous experience handling NIHL claims.
• Solid understanding of industrial disease litigation.
• Proven ability to manage a litigated or pre‑litigated caseload independently.
• Confidence interpreting medical and audiology evidence.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle competing priorities.
