NPI Development Engineer

About the role

This position supports the introduction of new electronic products into manufacturing by designing and delivering robust production test solutions. The engineer works at the intersection of electronic engineering, test development and manufacturing support, ensuring a smooth transition from development to high‑volume production.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop production test jigs and equipment for new electronic products.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from concept through to production release.
• Collaborate with design and production engineering to ensure testability and manufacturability.
• Develop manual and automated test systems, create and maintain test procedures and documentation.
• Manage configuration control and versioning of test hardware and software.
• Assist production teams with fault diagnosis, debugging and test issue resolution.
• Improve test coverage, reliability and efficiency in partnership with production support engineers.
• Contribute to project estimation, planning and mentor junior engineers when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and implementing production test solutions for electronic assemblies.
• Hands‑on experience with PCB bring‑up, validation and test equipment lifecycle management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with design, production and manufacturing teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for fault diagnosis and test issue resolution.
