NPI Engineer

About the role

Beagle Aircraft is seeking a Lead NPI Engineer to drive New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from concept through to full production. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will ensure new aerospace products are industrialised, delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead NPI projects from concept to production hand‑over.
• Develop manufacturing processes, routings, work instructions and industrialisation plans.
• Manage first‑article builds, production trials and process validation to achieve Right First Time manufacture.
• Define manufacturing methods, tooling, fixtures and inspection requirements.
• Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) reviews.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain and customers to resolve technical challenges.
• Prepare manufacturing estimates, labour hours, tooling requirements and feasibility assessments for RFQs.
• Drive continuous improvement during product introduction and early production phases.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading NPI or Manufacturing Engineering projects in aerospace.
• Strong knowledge of industrialisation, manufacturing process planning and production readiness.
• Experience with sheet metal, metallic structures, aerospace assemblies, welding and fabrication.
• Knowledge of manufacturing estimating, tooling design and process validation.
• Proven ability to support DFM/DFA reviews and product launch activities.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
