NQ Employment Solicitor

About the role

This newly qualified solicitor position offers the chance to join a respected regional law firm’s growing Employment team. You will work in a collaborative environment, handling a varied caseload while supporting senior lawyers on high‑value matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Provide advice to employers and employees on contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance issues.
• Draft settlement agreements, handle restructures, and represent clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings.
• Assist senior partners with complex, high‑value cases and contribute to business development activities.
• Participate in client relationship management, seminars and training sessions.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (or about to qualify) with experience in employment law gained during a training contract.
• Exposure to both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters.
• Strong drafting, communication and client relationship abilities.
• Commercially aware, proactive and collaborative mindset.
