Nurse Functional Assessor – Flexible Full/Part Time

About the role

As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus you will use your clinical expertise to evaluate how a person’s disability or health condition impacts their daily life. The role involves working on complex cases that span physical, mental health and chronic pain conditions, providing compassionate support while helping customers move forward.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the functional impact of health conditions on individuals.
• Manage complex cases involving both physical and mental health issues.
• Produce detailed written reports documenting assessments and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care.
• Participate in a tailored training programme and ongoing mentorship.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• Minimum 1 year of post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to produce detailed reports.
