Nurse Functional Assessor – Flexible Full‑/Part‑time

About the role

Join Maximus as a Nurse Functional Assessor, using your clinical expertise to evaluate how disabilities or health conditions impact daily living. You will work with complex physical, mental health and chronic pain cases, providing compassionate support to help customers progress.

Key responsibilities

• Assess individuals’ functional abilities and limitations related to health conditions.
• Produce detailed written reports outlining findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide guidance to customers.
• Participate in a tailored training programme and ongoing mentorship.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration number.
• Minimum 1 year post‑registration experience in adult or mental health nursing, within or outside the NHS.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard computer software for report writing.
