Nursery Assistant – Early Years Support in Bishop's Stortford

About the role
We are looking for qualified Nursery Assistants to join our early years teams in Bishop's Stortford and surrounding areas. The role involves supporting children across three key age groups in a safe, clean and happy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist nursery staff in delivering a high‑quality early years programme.
- Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming setting for children.
- Engage with children through activities, play and learning sessions.
- Support mealtimes, including preparation and distribution of snacks.
- Report any incidents or concerns regarding child safety and wellbeing.
- Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to ongoing training.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in childcare.
- Valid Paediatric First Aid certification.
- Clean DBS check on the update service.
- Right to work in the UK and passport documentation.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- At least five recent references.
- Experience in a fast‑paced nursery environment.
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding practices.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate between £13.50 and £17.50, paid weekly.
- Full‑day shifts from 8 am to 6 pm, with flexibility during busy periods.
