Nursery Assistant – Early Years Support

About the role

Reeson Education is seeking caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistants to join friendly early years settings across Havering, including Romford, Hornchurch, Upminster and Rainham. You will support young children’s learning and development through play‑based activities and high‑quality care in a nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist children with daily routines, personal care and mealtimes.
• Support learning through play and help deliver EYFS‑aligned activities.
• Create a safe, stimulating and engaging learning environment.
• Promote children’s communication, social and emotional development.
• Work alongside experienced practitioners to maintain high standards of care.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (essential).
• Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
• Caring, patient and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Genuine passion for supporting young children’s development.

Required skills

• Level 2/3 childcare qualification.
• Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
