Nursery Assistant – Early Years Support (PR9)

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join local nurseries and pre‑schools in the Southport (PR9) area. You will work alongside qualified staff to deliver high‑quality care and learning experiences for children under school age.
Key responsibilities
- Engage children in interactive, fun learning activities and messy play.
- Assist with meal times, snack breaks and tidy‑up routines.
- Support health, safety and safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Help maintain a clean and stimulating environment for early learners.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a nursery, playgroup or babysitting role.
- Friendly, approachable nature with an understanding of early childhood needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively with qualified staff.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of child safeguarding standards.
- Effective communication with children and adults.
