Nursery Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a thriving independent primary nursery in the borough of Hammersmith, West London. The role is full‑time, permanent and offers a supportive early years environment where you will work alongside qualified class teachers to deliver high‑quality EYFS‑based learning.

Key responsibilities

• Assist class teachers in planning and delivering daily lessons aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development through play‑based activities.
• Maintain a safe, clean and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment.
• Monitor and record children’s progress and communicate observations to teachers and parents.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions and school events.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or Teaching Assistant.
• Enthusiasm for early years education and a caring, proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility to start in summer or autumn and adapt to school schedules.

Required skills

• Familiarity with the EYFS curriculum.
• Ability to engage young learners through play and structured activities.
