Nursery Bank Staff – Early Years – Burgess Hill

About the role

Join Hays as a Nursery Bank Staff member and support early years settings across Burgess Hill and surrounding areas. You will work with children aged 3 months to 5 years, helping to create a safe and engaging environment while fitting the role around your own availability.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursery staff with daily routines and classroom set‑up.
• Play with children, support their learning activities and ensure their safety.
• Maintain tidy and organised rooms, helping with cleaning and tidying as needed.
• Provide flexible cover for staff shortages or peak periods.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in early years, or recent relevant experience as a nursery assistant.
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic attitude.
• Willingness to work hands‑on and support the team in various settings.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of early years care and safeguarding practices.
