Nursery Bank Staff – Flexible Temporary Role in Eastbourne

About the role

Join Hays as a bank staff member supporting nurseries and primary schools across Eastbourne, Hailsham and Heathfield. This flexible, temporary position allows you to work with children from 3 months to 11 years, fitting around your personal commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursery and school staff with daily routines and classroom set‑up.
• Maintain a tidy, safe environment for children.
• Engage with children through play and educational activities.
• Support staff during busy periods without the need to complete learning diaries.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualified teaching assistant or early‑years practitioner, or recent relevant experience that can be referenced.
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic about working with young children.
• Willingness to work in various settings and adjust to differing schedules.
