About the role

Join Hays as a nursery and school bank staff member, working across a variety of early years and primary settings in Heathfield. This flexible, temporary position lets you choose the days you work each week, fitting around your personal commitments while gaining valuable experience with children aged 3 months to 11 years.

Key responsibilities

• Support nursery and school staff with daily routines and classroom set‑up.
• Engage children in play, learning activities, and safe environments.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of rooms and equipment.
• Assist with child supervision and ensure safety standards are met at all times.

Required profile

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualified teaching assistant or early years practitioner, or recent relevant experience.
• Reliable, adaptable, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Willingness to work hands‑on in a variety of settings.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of early years or primary education practices.
