Nursery Caretaker – Part‑time Facilities Support

About the role

We are looking for a reliable part‑time Nursery Caretaker to keep our two London nursery sites safe, clean and well‑maintained. You will work across the Putney and Southfields locations, supporting staff and ensuring a pleasant environment for children, parents and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep and tidy playgrounds, remove leaves and debris.
• Clean school gates, buggy areas and outdoor equipment weekly.
• Maintain bin enclosures, recycle, and empty bins as required.
• Weed, pressure‑wash driveways, car parks and clean treehouses, slides and external windows.
• Report or repair any hazards promptly.
• Receive, unpack and organise stock deliveries; keep the stock room tidy.
• Replace lightbulbs, clean air‑conditioning filters and service kitchen appliances.
• Assist with set‑up and clear‑down of school events.
• Welcome visitors, sign‑in parents and contractors.
• Perform occasional out‑of‑hours maintenance, including Saturdays or evenings.

Required profile

• Legal right to work in the UK and able to commute to the sites.
• Physically capable of lifting boxes and handling cleaning equipment.
• Flexible availability within 9:30 am‑3:30 pm, Monday‑Friday.
• Attention to detail and a proactive attitude towards safety.

Required skills

• Experience using basic cleaning tools (hoover, pressure washer, etc.).
• Ability to perform simple maintenance tasks (lightbulb replacement, minor repairs).
• Stock handling and basic organisational skills.
