Nursery Cleaner – Part‑time

About the role

Joining Little Pioneers is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within its nursery environment. This part‑time position works closely with the nursery team to ensure a safe and welcoming setting for children.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, play areas, bathrooms and communal spaces.
• Follow COSHH guidelines for safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Support health and safety compliance by reporting hazards and maintaining records.
• Collaborate with staff to schedule cleaning tasks around nursery activities.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is stored and maintained correctly.

Required profile

• Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by employer).
• Willingness to learn or existing knowledge of COSHH requirements.
• Previous cleaning experience preferred.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.

Required skills

• Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
• Health and safety awareness.
