About the role

Join Childbase Partnership as a Nursery Cook, preparing wholesome meals for up to 104 children aged 6 weeks to 5 years at Cedar Park Day Nursery in Twyford. This permanent, full‑time role offers a supportive environment focused on nutrition, safety, and child wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook daily menus using fresh ingredients.
• Provide suitable alternatives for children with allergies or specific dietary requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in line with COSHH and environmental health legislation.
• Manage stock, ensure proper storage, and adhere to manual handling guidelines.
• Collaborate with nursery staff to align meals with the children’s schedule and nutritional needs.

Required profile

• Passionate about delivering nutritious meals for young children.
• Professional catering experience, preferably in a childcare or early‑years setting.
• Attention to detail and strong knowledge of food safety, allergens, and health regulations.
• Ability to work within set menus and adapt recipes as needed.

Required skills

• Salary £25,330.50‑£31,200 per annum (pro‑rata) or £12.99‑£16.00 per hour.
