Nursery Deputy Manager – Help Make Every Day Magical!

About the role

We are seeking an experienced early years professional to join our thriving nursery in Liverpool. As Deputy Manager you will support the Nursery Manager in delivering a safe, inspiring environment where children can explore and families feel valued.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Nursery Manager with day‑to‑day operations and administration.
• Lead, motivate and develop the teaching and support staff.
• Act as Manager in the Manager’s absence, ensuring smooth continuity.
• Maintain high standards of EYFS delivery, safeguarding, health & safety and regulatory compliance.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support staff development through coaching, mentoring and leading by example.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Childcare/Early Years.
• Previous experience in a senior early years role such as Senior Room Leader, Third‑in‑Charge or Deputy Manager.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding and Ofsted requirements.
• Organised, proactive and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for early years education.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYFS framework.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies.
• Familiarity with health & safety and compliance standards.
