Nursery Deputy Manager

About the role

Join a leading ethical childcare provider as Deputy Nursery Manager and help shape young lives while advancing your leadership career. You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the smooth, day‑to‑day operation of a busy, high‑quality nursery.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Nursery Manager in overseeing all aspects of nursery delivery, including education, care, safeguarding and compliance.
• Lead, motivate and coach a team of practitioners, fostering a positive and inclusive culture.
• Step in to assume full managerial responsibilities when required.
• Maintain strong relationships with families and ensure excellent communication.
• Assist with operational and commercial targets, supporting the nursery’s financial success.

Required profile

• Previous senior nursery experience (Deputy Manager, Third‑in‑Charge, Room Leader or similar).
• Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding and regulatory standards.
• Proactive, organised and passionate about delivering outstanding childcare.
