Nursery Housekeeper (Full‑time)

About the role

The Nursery Housekeeper ensures the nursery environment is clean, safe and welcoming for children, staff and visitors. You will maintain high standards of hygiene, support the delivery of nutritious meals and help create a vibrant learning space.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise all equipment, furniture and play areas.
• Maintain tidy, clutter‑free floors and storage spaces.
• Manage laundry, waste disposal and deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act, EHO and COSHH regulations.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and promptly report any concerns.
• Promote excellent hygiene practices throughout the nursery.
• Coordinate stock ordering and organise supplies.
• Assist the team with additional duties to foster an inclusive culture.

Required profile

• Understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe environment for children.
• Ability to follow safeguarding procedures and report issues.
• Strong communication skills for timely stock and information management.
• Willingness to work on‑site full‑time (40 hours/week).
