Nursery Manager – Cambridge (CB22)

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Nursery Manager to lead our early years setting in Hauxton, Cambridge. This full‑time, 40‑hour per week position offers the chance to create an inspiring, play‑based learning environment while driving team performance.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, administrative workflows and budget management, ensuring targets and KPIs are met.
- Lead, mentor and develop the early years team, including induction of new staff.
- Design and implement creative, play‑based curriculum activities and monitor children’s learning journeys.
- Maintain rigorous safeguarding and child protection standards to provide a safe, nurturing setting.
- Prepare for audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with EYFS regulations.
Required profile
- Full Early Years Level 3 Childcare qualification or higher.
- Proven leadership experience in a nursery or pre‑school environment.
- Strong understanding of EYFS statutory requirements.
Required skills
- Excellent time‑management and organisational abilities.
- Experience preparing for audits and inspections.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child‑protection procedures.
