Nursery Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to lead the early years provision at a well‑regarded independent school in Rochester. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children aged two and above.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily running of the nursery, maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding and education.
• Lead, support and develop nursery staff.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with families.
• Deliver a high‑quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory safeguarding and health & safety requirements.

Required profile

• Relevant Level 3 qualification or higher in early years or related field.
• Previous leadership or management experience in a nursery setting.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
• Organised, proactive and excellent communicator.
• Passionate about providing outstanding early years provision.
