Nursery Manager – Poppies Holmer Green

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Nursery Manager to lead our well‑established Poppies Holmer Green setting. You will be responsible for creating a high‑quality, safe, and nurturing environment where children, families, and staff can thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team on a day‑to‑day basis.
- Ensure compliance with EYFS standards and safeguarding policies.
- Build strong partnerships with parents and the local community.
- Drive occupancy rates and overall nursery performance.
- Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections.
- Support staff wellbeing and professional development.
- Foster a positive, professional team culture.
Required profile
- Full Level 3 Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience managing a nursery.
- Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
- Proven ability to lead early‑years teams.
- Passion for delivering high‑quality childcare and education.
- Desirable: Level 5 qualification in Childcare, Leadership or Management.
- Desirable: Experience achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
