Nursery Practitioner – Early Years Educator

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ nursery in Putney. You will help create a safe, stimulating environment where children can thrive through play and learning aligned with the EYFS framework.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality care and educational activities for children in the setting.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed.
• Plan and implement play experiences that meet each child’s individual needs and support EYFS goals.
• Monitor and record children’s progress and communicate observations to parents and staff.
• Collaborate with the nursery team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Level 2 Childcare qualification or higher (experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications).
• Passionate about early childhood education and child wellbeing.
• Committed to safeguarding and willing to hold a current safeguarding certificate.
• Ability to undergo background checks and hold an enhanced DBS.

Required skills

• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Basic safeguarding knowledge and willingness to complete training.

• Competitive salary between £32,000 and £33,000 per year.
