Nursery Practitioner – Early Years Educator

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Nursery Practitioner (Level 3) to join our childcare team in Maidenhead. You will deliver high‑quality early years education and provide a safe, nurturing environment for young children.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate activities that support children’s development.
• Ensure the safety, well‑being and happiness of all children in your care.
• Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, behaviour and daily routines.
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues through clear communication.
• Support emotional and social development through nurturing interactions.
• Keep the learning environment clean, organised and stimulating.
• Assist with nursery routines such as meals, naps and play sessions.
• Contribute to assessment and planning of individualised learning programmes.
• Supervise children during outings and, where required, transport them safely.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
• Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Driving licence desirable for transporting children or attending external activities.
• Passionate about supporting children’s growth and development.

Required skills

• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices.
