Nursery Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a well‑established childcare provider in North London. The role is full‑time, permanent and involves caring for and supporting the development of children aged 2‑3 years or babies aged 3‑18 months, depending on the placement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate activities that promote learning, social interaction and physical development.
• Provide daily care, including feeding, nappy changing and comforting, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
• Observe and record children’s progress and communicate observations to parents and senior staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the nursery setting.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a consistent routine and support rotating shift patterns.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in a nursery or early years setting.
• Level 3 Early Years childcare qualification.
• Previous role as Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Practitioner, Nursery Educator or similar.
• Commitment to high standards of care and education.

• Starting salary of £30,000 per year.
• Rotating shift options (7:30‑16:30, 8:00‑17:00, 9:30‑18:30) – Monday to Friday.
