Nursery Practitioner (Level 3)

About the role

We are looking for two Level 3 Nursery Practitioners to work with children aged 2‑4 at The Thicket in Maidenhead. The role is full‑time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, and runs all year round.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times.
• Support learning through structured play and engaging activities.
• Assist children with meals, snacks and personal hygiene.
• Observe, record and report on children’s development.
• Maintain a clean, safe and stimulating environment, including age‑appropriate equipment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
• Participate in meetings, training and extended day care when required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Early Years.
• Relevant experience in an early years setting.
• Good level of English and numeracy.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Positive, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
